FEM-Design Section Editor Module

Although FEM-Design offers built-in cross-section library (steel, concrete and wood) for bar, beam and column, the Section editor module gives the possibility to create your own section shape. The definition way of a new section is very simple with the CAD drawing and editing tools of the program. The module gives all data of the created section after a very fast calculation. The calculated sections are automatically added to the section database by registering the section, so the design modules are able to use it for bar, beam and column modelling. There is no limitation in the section geometry, so you can apply the real shape and size for the current projects.
A new section can be defined by drawing a new single shape or by connecting previously defined or built-in sections to make opened or closed multi-section.
